This is an introduction to Vietnamese cuisine published by Thời Đại in Vietnam. It is written in both Vietnamese and Japanese, with detailed recipes and beautiful photos. It is a very comprehensive and excellent cookbook. As it is a recipe book from Vietnam, it is a great book for mastering authentic Vietnamese cuisine.

There are some scratches and yellowing due to long-term storage, but overall, it has only been looked through briefly, so there are no creases or wrinkles from opening, and it is in beautiful condition.

After introducing 56 main ingredients for Vietnamese cuisine (vegetables and fruits are grouped together, so there are actually more) with color photos of the actual items, it introduces how to make over 60 dishes, including dipping sauces, caramel, fried shallots, pickles, broth, crab soup, chicken vermicelli, mì quảng, hủ tiếu, beef pho, soup with stuffed bitter melon, soup with spare ribs and root vegetables, fried rice, gấc sticky rice, lotus stem salad, fresh spring rolls, green papaya salad with shrimp and pork, braised pork belly in coconut juice, Vietnamese omelet, chè with bananas, grilled corn, and fruit jelly, with color photos of the finished dishes.
At the end of the book, there are explanations of vegetable carving and decorative styles, along with numerous color photos, and a glossary of ingredients and cooking terms (Japanese-Vietnamese). A complete Japanese translation of a Vietnamese cookbook is very rare.
